50 Self-Help Tools to Cope with COVID-19

The actual pandemic and its aftermath display many characteristic post-traumatic patterns usually encountered in mass catastrophe. Is this enough to call it a collective PTSD?

To answer this question, this training offers participants a broad palette of self-help techniques and easily understood models. Patients and therapists at risk of social freezing and helplessness, can benefit from these theories and interventions. Furthermore, the dramatic actual economic situation may put emotional weight on the therapist: how to keep the right emotional distance as a therapist?

Starting in August 2020, Dr. Marc Muret presents a monthly training of six webinars.

·      Pandemic vs. PTSD: a color-coded perspective

·      Energy States: understanding the divided self

·      The Wheel: constructing and deconstructing the mind

·      Dissociative vs. Associative techniques

·      Forget Helplessness, Learn Hope

·      Beyond:  logical vs. magical, from science to spirituality

In addition to these monthly webinars, participants will be part of an online discussion community in ISSTDWorld to share thoughts and questions about the training.

Registration is limited to the first 100 participants. Please note that this program is not eligible for continuing education credit.
