The Student & Emerging Professional Forum is calling for nominations for the 2023 Executive. Please note that in order to be eligible for these positions you must be a current Student or Emerging Professional, and still be within these categories for 2023.
The positions being filled are:
- Chair | One Year Term serving as Chair (2023)
- Secretary | One Year Term serving as Secretary (2023)
- Moderator | One Year Term serving as Moderator (2023)
Descriptions of the responsibilities of each position are below.
Chair
- Lead the SEP Forum and manage its activities to assure adherence to ISSTD standards, goals, mission statements, and treatment guidelines.
- Preside at all meetings of the Forum and the Executive Committee.
- Serve as an ex-officio member of all committees.
- Cast the deciding vote in the case of a tie in Executive Committee
meetings.
- Represent the SEP Forum Executive Committee as the liaison officer to the ISSTD Executive and Board of Directors, or designate an alternate liaison officer acceptable to the Board of Directors.
- Submit the annual report of the SIG to the ISSTD Board of Directors.
Secretary
- Communicate with prospective members, gather and verify information for list membership.
- Send new members a welcome packet consisting of the SEP Forum bylaws, the listserv guidelines, and a new member questionnaire.
- Relay completion of requirements and new member information/bio to the list moderator.
- Inform members of impending ISSTD expiration, and verify renewal. Remove members whose membership has expired (after 30-day grace period set by ISSTD).
- Monitor and assure the Executive Committee that all appropriate proceedings of the SEP Forum are accurately recorded and all required or requested reports are produced, filed, and maintained, including recording and maintaining of minutes of all Executive Committee meetings, distribution of these minutes to Executive Committee members, maintaining the SEP Forum bylaws, and maintaining a historical record of the organization (including minutes of previous years' Executive Committee meetings.)
- In the absence of an elected Secretary, the Chair, Immediate Past Chair and/or Chair Elect will share the duties of Secretary until a replacement is elected.
Moderator
- Monitor community activities according to the SEP Forum community guidelines as approved by ISSTD.
- In the absence of an elected Moderator, the Chair, Immediate Past Chair and/or Chair Elect will share the duties of Moderator until a replacement is elected
